Beaconwright evaluates material it can access legitimately, publishes the compact assessment, and opens that record for you. It does not bypass paywalls or sign-in walls, and it does not keep article text after the evaluation.

Beaconwright independently retrieves the public HTML page or PDF from the submitted address. Public PDFs are reviewed from those exact transient bytes—not uploaded text—and are never retained. Some publishers block server access even when material opens normally in your browser. For a private review, use the Beaconwright extension and choose Private. The extension does not bypass paywalls or sign-in requirements.

The article is processed transiently. Only the link and compact public assessment are kept.

Reviewing an unpublished document?

Student papers, newsroom drafts, research manuscripts, and internal reports belong in a separate private review. They are never added to Public records or author aggregation.
