How to read this assessment
Each part answers a different question. Together, they help you examine the evidence without giving an overall true-or-false verdict.
- Evidence support
- How well does the evidence back up the document’s claims?
- Balance & context
- Does the document include important context and other credible explanations?
- Transparency
- Does the document explain where its information comes from and disclose relevant interests?
- Analysis confidence
- How sure is Beaconwright about its analysis? This is not how sure it is that the document is true.
- Evidence coverage
- How much of the relevant evidence could Beaconwright examine? Read the limits above to see what it could not check.
How can clear methods and uncertain numbers go together?
Think of a spreadsheet with a mistake in a formula. Sharing it and pointing out the mistake helps others understand what happened. But the formula still needs to be fixed and the results checked.
A document can explain its work openly while some findings still need checking. The spreadsheet is only an example. It does not mean your document contains an error.
Not checked does not mean false. If evidence was unavailable, that limits what this review can conclude.
