CUSTOMER READER ยท OCTOBER 26, 2026
This notice covers the customer extension and website services. No administrator collection or capture tools are included.
Before consenting to a private article review, inspect the extracted text and included source links. Source links containing query strings or fragments are omitted rather than rewritten. Invisible text is excluded, and detected partial clipping or blur stops extraction. The preview cannot establish authorization: proceed only with material you can legitimately read and are permitted to process.
New assessments are public unless you check Private assessment. The checkbox applies to article and PDF actions and starts unchecked each time you open the popup. Start assessment continues the public review flow automatically when the website loads. The website checks your account and asks you to confirm the free assessment or credit before sending an assessment request. Ordinary shared links remain manual. The launch marker is removed from browser history, and refreshing does not start another assessment.
Beaconwright independently retrieves the public source and publishes the compact assessment and source links, not your identity or raw source text. PDF links are detected from the address and verified by the server. Changing the checkbox never publishes an existing private assessment.
Opening the popup reads the tab title and URL locally and automatically checks Beaconwright for an existing public assessment. Start assessment checks again before continuing. Each lookup sends only the public URL without query strings or fragments, with no account cookies or page text. It does not start AI analysis or use an assessment allowance. Protected browser and local-file URLs are not sent. A failed lookup prevents proceeding; Start assessment can retry the lookup.
After a confirmed miss, Start assessment follows your checkbox choice. Public review passes only the public link to the website. With Private assessment checked, it reads accessible article text and source links locally. Trusted extension session memory transfers text to the review tab and removes the entry when consumed. Unused entries expire for use after ten minutes and are cleared on the next private launch or browser shutdown. The review tab holds text in memory until closed. Sign-in does not send article text.
For private review, after processing consent and website assessment confirmation, bounded text is sent for analysis. The compact assessment is saved privately to your account, excluded from public Records and author aggregation. No workflow bypasses paywalls or authentication.
Each verified account receives two free completed assessments, shared across public and private reviews. The popup separately asks Beaconwright for the remaining allowance. That request contains no article URL or page text. The browser may send your Beaconwright session cookie to its API; the extension does not read cookie values. The response shown in the popup contains sign-in status and counts, not your email, identity, payment history or saved assessments. If you are signed out or the count is unavailable, the popup says so. Further assessments require confirmation to use purchased credits.
Public PDF review requires a publicly accessible PDF link; opening the form does not send a local file. To choose a local file, check Private assessment. In that private workflow, you choose a PDF and preview its text locally. Email-link sign-in sends your email to Beaconwright. After confirmation, a transient PDF copy transfers to the website. Beaconwright does not retain original PDFs or raw extracted article/document text. Compact private assessments can be reopened, exported, or deleted through your account.
Analysis uses OpenAI. Provider retention follows applicable service policies; zero provider retention is not promised. Assessment allowances, credit charges and service limits apply. Remove unnecessary confidential information before processing.
activeTab and scripting support user-requested extraction and website handoff. API access supports lookup and PDF sign-in. Optional website access supports the signed-in bridge. Storage provides temporary trusted session transfer, not persistent article text or browsing history. No debugger, alarms, administrator tools, or pilot-code configuration are included.
Account, credit, payment, and security records are separate from public assessments. Deleting an assessment does not delete legally or operationally retained financial records. Cloudflare and providers may process connection and security information. Public record-open statistics are aggregate rather than identifiable reader history. No unverified deletion deadline or provider retention period is promised.
Extension information is used for evidence review, not advertising, sale, creditworthiness, or unrelated profiling. Use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Use My library & account to manage assessments and account deletion. Contact the publisher email on the store listing for questions.
